ENGLISH

1500 Club is a reading challenge aimed at pushing on pupils to read lots of high-quality books over the summer holidays. Recognition will be given for any milestones achieved. Download
Writing prompts booklet provides a series of writing challenges of different genres including a prompt, a planning frame and a template to complete writing on. Pupils should aim to complete up to 3 of these over the summer, it is better to concentrate on fewer pieces of higher quality writing rather than rushing to complete lots of separate pieces of writing. Sentence level workbook is for pupils to brush up on the basics of sentence structure, grammar and punctuation over the holidays. Download

ReadTheory.org – Pupils have been reassigned their ‘ReadTheory.org’ login cards and are encouraged to complete quizzes over the holiday, though this is an optional extra.
