HEYWOOD HATCHLINGS
Welcome to Heywood Hatchlings – the FREE Baby and Toddler Group at Heywood Prep!
Our warm and welcoming sessions are designed for babies and toddlers aged 0–4, accompanied by a parent or carer.
Each week, children are invited to discover, play and grow through one of our four playful themes: Explore, Create, Imagine, and Express. These themes guide our activities and are carefully planned to support early development in a fun and nurturing environment.
Whether it is sensory play, messy crafts, imaginative role play or gentle movement, every session offers opportunities for connection, curiosity and creativity – for both children and grown-ups alike!
To end each session, we enjoy a delicious snack and drink prepared by our friendly kitchen team – the perfect way to round off a busy morning of fun.
Held in our beautiful school setting, Heywood Hatchlings is a relaxed and friendly space to meet other local families and enjoy quality time with your little one.

We Explore
A gentle introduction to modern languages through songs, drama and games. Children will begin to explore French or Spanish in a playful, age-appropriate way.
We Express
Sing, dance and play! These sessions are full of music, movement, rhythm and fun – perfect for little ones to explore sound, beat and self-expression.
We Create
Get creative with arts and crafts, alongside hands-on sensory play. These sessions spark imagination and support early fine motor skills.
We Imagine
Step into the world of a story! We bring books like Dear Zoo and The Gruffalo to life through drama, props, themed activities and songs, finishing by sharing the book together.

Booking Information:
Sessions are FREE, but booking is required to secure your place.
BOOKING FOR EACH SESSION WILL OPEN AT 9.30AM ON THE SATURDAY BEFORE EACH SESSION DATE.
Spaces Are Limited:
To ensure a calm and enjoyable experience for everyone, spaces are limited to 18 children per session.
Parking:
Unfortunately, we do not have parking available on site. We kindly encourage you to use one of Corsham’s town centre car parks, most of which offer two hours of free parking when you display a ticket.
If you are parking elsewhere, please do so considerately and help us maintain good relationships with our neighbours by respecting driveways and local access.
