Three, two, one… Blast off!

Reception children have kick-started the term by blasting off into Space and it has been a busy couple of weeks!

The children have learned about Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the moon, and been busy re-enacting this historic moment by collecting moon rock samples in the role play area. As well as comparing the sizes of the planets and making a fruit Solar System. Who knew that if Earth were the size of a cherry tomato then Jupiter would be a watermelon?! The children have been engrossed and are surprising their parents each evening with their impressive knowledge and understanding.
