After School Club

The after school club is operated from the Wigwam Nursery Building. We care for children from 2 years upwards, mainly for working parents.

The club is open from 3.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. and we ask that children are collected promptly at the specified pick-up time. The current charge is £4.00 per hour(£2.00 per half hour). A 10% discount is given if your child has a place booked from Monday to Friday inclusive for an hour or more.

We offer juice and a snack to all children and for those that remain after 5.00 p.m. we offer tea, a copy of the menu is overleaf.

The children are sorted into ages and activities are organised accordingly. These are mainly art and craft based, some of the older children prefer to start their homework. We also use the school hall for other activities that include music, games etc.

The numbers are limited and we send home a booking form usually 4 weeks before term ends so that parents can book their sessions in advance.  We would ask you to note that booked sessions are for the entire term.The bills are calculated for the whole term and sent home with the child within the first three weeks of a new term. Any sessions not attended due to sickness, parties etc. are non-refundable. We should also like to advise you that unless we have been instructed that your child is not attending the Care Club because of sickness, birthday parties or other family arrangements etc. we shall still collect the children in the normal way. Please note that it is not the responsibility of the class teacher to advise the care club that your child is not attending – it is your responsibility to do this.

We collect the children from the main entrance to school, a member of the care team waits for the children and then they are brought over to Wigwam.

Should you need to speak to a member of staff regarding the care facility, your first point of contact should be Katie. She can be reached on 01249 714692, an answer machine is permanently switched on, so please leave a message and Katie or another member of the team will ring you back.

What we ask of parents;

1. Please collect your child promptly.

2. Please inform us if your child is not attending due to sickness, parties etc. by ringing on 01249 714692 and leaving a message for Katie.

3. Please pay your invoices within 7 days of receipt. Failure to pay promptly may result in your child losing their place.

4.  Bookings must be made directly with Katie or Mrs Knight and no other member of the care team as this has caused confusion in the past.
