Education is dynamic. Changes occur daily, therefore it is increasingly important to maintain stability through a system which embraces the values of traditional teaching while enhancing it with modern resources and technology so that our children can function competently in today’s and tomorrow’s world.

At Heywood School we educate children from two to eleven years old. We consider it a privilege

to share the confidence of the very young in Nursery School and prepare them for entry to main

school at four plus. During the following formative years at Heywood the children develop academically via sound and stimulating teaching and socially through excellent pastoral care. They are encouraged to develop as a whole person through extracurricular activities such as sports, music and drama.
